I am honored to be invited around the whole world to talk about my passions. I have worked with big audiences on the main stage of national conferences, intimate teams at a local study clubs, and everything in between. Whether I am discussing advanced prosthetic concepts with seasoned dentists or polishing leadership skills with the youngest members of our dental profession, spending time with an audience is one of my sincere pleasures.

Current Controversies in Implant Dentistry

Is immediate-loading just a fad or is there a clinical justification for this practice?  Can your provisional ruin the final cosmetic result?  Is your occlusal scheme harming the implant?  These and other controversies in implant dentistry will be discussed.

Prosthetic Complications and Dental Implants:

A distinction must be made between implant survival and implant success.  Achieving long term esthetics and function can only be accomplished by proper communication between the surgical and restorative disciplines This type of communication allows for prosthetically driven implant placement; knowing the desired restorative result prior to any surgical treatment. The etiology of a substantial portion of prosthetic complications and implant failure is implant malposition.

Complications of poor implant treatment planning include implant/prosthetic failure, peri-implantitis, unaesthetic restorations, and patient dissatisfaction. Results of improper implant treatment planning will be discussed. Surgical and prosthetic solutions for poor implant placement will be shown.

Tips and Tricks for the Cosmetic Practice:                               
A patient presents for a cosmetic makeover.Where do you begin? This course is designed to help the dentist effectively diagnose, treatment plan and execute dentistry withesthetics in mind. New materials are available that will open exciting possibilities for you and your patients.

Restoring Implants 101:
Everything you wanted to know about restoring dental implants but were afraid to ask.  This introductory course is designed for dentists and staff interested in taking the mystery out of implant impressions, temporization, and seating the final prosthesis. Perhaps most importantly, this course will also discuss treatment planning and case presentation; get your patients to say “Yes”!  A hands-on demonstration of implant components will be available.
